Frequently asked questions

Is Paw Navigator a veterinarian?
No. Paw Navigator provides educational emergency guidance only. It is not a veterinarian, veterinary clinic, telemedicine provider, or diagnosis tool. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical advice about your pet.
Where is my data stored?
The iOS app is local-first. Pet profiles, guided-flow answers, and incident history stay on your device by default. We do not require an account to use core emergency flows, and we do not upload your pet or incident data to the cloud.
How do I export or back up my data?
Open Settings in the app, go to Data & Storage, and tap "Back up now." Your pet profiles and incident history are exported as a file you can save through the iOS share sheet. Backups stay on your device — Paw Navigator does not upload them to our servers.
How do I find an emergency vet?
Use the Find a Vet tab in the app to search for nearby emergency veterinary hospitals. Location access or a manual address is required for search results. Clinic listings are provided for convenience — always confirm hours and availability directly with the facility.
What about poison or toxin exposure?
For possible toxin or medication exposure, contact a licensed veterinarian or an animal poison control helpline immediately. The app may show poison helpline options during relevant emergency flows. These services may charge a fee — confirm current fees before calling.
How do I share an incident summary with my vet?
After completing a guided emergency flow, you can generate and share an incident summary from the app. This summary helps your veterinarian understand symptoms and timeline — it is not a diagnosis or treatment plan.

Animal poison control helplines

For possible toxin or medication exposure, a poison helpline can help determine whether emergency care is needed. These are independent third-party services — Paw Navigator is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. A fee may apply; confirm current fees before calling. Numbers below have been verified.

Legal & privacy

Using Paw Navigator does not establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). No VCPR is created between you and SWIFTOPS INC. (dba Paw Navigator) or its operators. Always consult your own licensed veterinarian regarding your pet's health.
